Kane Waselenchuk – 6th World Racquetball Championship Title

Kane Waselenchuk has won his 6th professional racquetball World Championship title.

Kane wrapped-up his sixth World Championship title with his impressive win today over Rocky Carson at the 2011 Mexico Open from Tijuana, MX.  Kane defeated Rocky in 3 straight games 11-7, 11-5 & 11-1.

Waselenchuk, the current #1 IRT ranked player, holds an insurmountable IRT ranking system point lead over the #2 IRT ranked player Rocky Carson.   Kane is undefeated so far this season with one event remaining.  Kane finished the 2009-2010 IRT season undefeated.

Kane would still have enough ranking points to be the 2010-2011 World Racquetball Champion even in the highly unlikely event he elects not play next month in the Ektelon Nationals Grand Slam tournament in Fullerton, CA. Carson would still come up short by 47 points even if Kane does not play another tournament this season, and Rocky wins the upcoming Ektelon Nationals Grand Slam and all the remaining 6 scheduled satellite (non T1) events.

Waselenchuk, with one Grand Slam event still remaining, has had a phenomenal record breaking 2010-2011 IRT pro racquetball season.  He has an unprecedented 108 consecutive match winning streak in place that dates back to January 2009.  Kane also captured his 6th US Open crown last October in Minneapolis, an all-time record for US Open victories.

Congratulations Kane Waselenchuk on your 6th World Racquetball Championship!
